Seasons; what seasons does Costa Rica have?
Costa Rica has two seasons: summer and winter (dry and wet season). Temperatures stay about the same throughout year, except for that the temperature cools down slightly during the rainy season. During the “wet” season, most of the time it is sunny and dry in the morning and it usually starts raining in the afternoon or evening.
The dry season (summer period) starts in December and ends in May.
The wet season (winter period) starts in May and ends in November.
The advantages to travelling during the wet season: lower costs (flights, car rental and hotels), fewer tourists and the nature is fresher and greener!
